Hidden Hills Principal to Retire

Aida Nuñez has been at the school for the past 14 years.

Hidden Hills Elementary Principal Aida Nuñez announced Wednesday that she is retiring.

She has spent 14 of her 33-year career at Hidden Hills. Here’s the email she sent parents Wednesday:

Dear Parents, It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement at the end of the school year. After 33 years in education, the 14 years at Hidden Hills have been by far the most rewarding of my career. I am thankful that the Capistrano School District has allowed me to remain at Hidden Hills for all these years. The opportunity to be at Hidden Hills for so long has given me the opportunity to work with wonderful teachers and educators, as well as getting to know so many families and community members.  It has been an incredible experience getting to know generations of students and it is them that I will miss the most. I know they’ll continue to be kind, safe and the best they can be! Although I will miss all students, parents, and staff, I am looking forward to my next chapter in life. I intend to rest, spend more time with my family, visiting relatives across the country, enjoying my hobbies and pursuing other interests. In closing, I thank you for all of the support, consideration and kindness I have received throughout the years and wish you all the best. Have a wonderful summer!
