Second Harvest Food Drive
Shop and help others! At Whole Foods the newly formed ANHS Feed OC Club will be there to collect most needed items for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Such items include:
Non-perishable canned goods or dry food such as: canned meats, fish, soup, fruits, vegetables, pasta, hot & cold cereal, macaroni & cheese, rice, beans, peanut butter.
Personal care items needed are: diapers, toothpaste and toothbrushes, toilet tissue and soap.Requests for food assistance have climbed 42% over 2008.

It is currently estimated that 21% of Orange County or 615,000 people are at-risk of hunger. Children and seniors make up 50% of those in need of food assistance. In the wake of a severe economic depression, families have been left with the difficult decision of buying groceries or paying their mortgages and medical bills.
