I was out walking my dog the other night and noticed the neighborhood right above us had some awesome Halloween decorations.
There were all kinds of themes from the ghoulish to the mysterious. I know there are lots of neighborhoods that really get into it. It would be great if there was a list of extraordinary Halloween themed neighborhoods or "haunted houses."
My first recommendation is the neighborhood in Rancho Niguel on El Peppino.
