Wall Coverings and Furnishings Are Being Installed in New Council Chambers This Week

Construction work continues but is definitely winding down at the new City Hall. Many of the final treatments are being added.

The council chambers in the new City Hall at the corner or Alicia and Crown Valley parkways are getting dressed up.

The following construction activities are anticipated for the week of July 25-29, according to Community Development Director Dan Fox.

  • Install fixed seating and wall fabric in Council Chambers.
  • Install landscaping in the courtyard/amphitheater.
  • Continue installation of system furniture in office areas.
  • Continue driveway improvements at the entrance drive and other site work.

The grand opening for the new building is scheduled for Oct. 15. City Manager Tim Casey says the staff and city workers will move in the week of Aug. 29.
