Metrolink Will Bus San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano Riders to Laguna Niguel

Train service is affected by a man who had threatened to jump from an overpass.

Some Metrolink services in Orange County remain affected by the closure of tracks that occurred overnight while authorities worked to detain a man who had been threatening to jump from an overpass on the 73 toll road in Laguna Niguel.

According to Metrolink spokeswoman Sherita Coffelt, passengers at the Oceanside, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano stations will be bused to the Laguna Niguel and Irvine stations, where they can board northbound trains.

Passengers can also drive to the Laguna Niguel and Irvine stations, Coffelt said.

The man surrendered to authorities about 4 a.m., and the 73 toll road
and the railroad tracks were reopened, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
