$360K New Turf For Crown Valley Community Park

The city is in the process of replacing the existing synthetic grass soccer field surface at the park.

According to Nick Renn, deputy public works director, the contractor is removing and replacing the synthetic turf and rubber infill.

The project cost is $360,000 and the work will be completed by March 2 and the field will be reopened on March 5.

Renn added the cost is part of the city’s FY 2011/12 budget and is being paid with city funds. The existing turf was installed in the spring of 2004.  The expected life of the turf is about 7-8 years.
