Gateway Improvements Moving Along

A new signage program for the Gateway area will help visitors find their way.

Graphic Solutions will be receiving a professional services agreement to improve signs at the at Tuesday night's council meeting.

These updates are part of the series of ongoing improvements meant to make the Gateway area more appealing to the community, and prospective and current business owners. The city will be authorizing up to $26,900 for the new and improved sign program.

The City Council will also:

  • Commend Arya Mehrtash for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
  • Adopt a which will create an exception to the prohibition on parking oversized vehicles on city streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. for some local business owners.
  • Establish a community special events fund in the amount of $15,000.  $5,000 will allocate to the 2012 .
  • Approve city endorsement of the 2012 La Dolce Vita Italian Festival.
  • Adopt a resolution authorizing application for funds for proposition 1B which supports highway safety, traffic reduction and air quality improvements.
  • Approve plans for the runoff elimination program for Crown Valley Parkway medians.

The City Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the  at City Hall, 30111 Crown Valley Pkwy.
