The Dana Point City Council will appoint new members to the Planning Commission and Traffic Improvement Subcommittee Tuesday. What issues do you want the new members to focus on?

A single issue will drive the Dana Point City Council meeting Tuesday: appointments for the Traffic Improvement Subcommittee and the Planning Commission.

The City Council will try to pick two new appointees for the each governing body. A series of candidate interviews and decisions by the City Council are the only public items on the agenda for Tuesday.

According to city staff, the Planning Commission and Traffic Improvement Subcommittee are comprised of five members who serve staggered four-year terms. The terms of two Planning Commissioners, Chairman Norm Denton and Commissioner April O’Connor will expire on March 31st. The terms of two Traffic Improvement Subcommittee members Michael Frost and John Schantz will also expire on March 31st.
