Woman Tries to Set Fire to Dana Point Lingerie Store

Jennifer Renee Colwell was allegedly spotted throwing gasoline at the store located on PCH Tuesday, KTLA is reporting.

A 42-year-old woman was allegedly seen trying to torch a local lingerie store in Dana Point on Tuesday, according to authorities.

KTLA is reporting Jennifer Renee Colwell had tried to set the store located at 31400 block of Pacific Coast Highway on fire Tuesday around 12:30 a.m., after a failed relationship.


The news station said she had been in a relationship with a man who had purchased gifts for her at the store during their relationship.

She was spotted throwing a flaming, gasoline-soaked pillow at the business early Tuesday morning, sparking flames that reached six feet before firefighters arrived, according to Orange County Sheriff's deputies, KTLA reported.

According to arrest records, Colwell was being held in Central Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, the report said.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.
