Woman Tells Police Her Tree Was Poisoned

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Oct. 26–28.

A woman called authorities for help, saying that she believed her tree was being poisoned. The call was fielded on Wed., Oct. 26, at 4:40 p.m. from the 23800 block of Brant Lane.

Here are more items from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department blotter. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel, unless otherwise noted. The following arrest information was supplied by the O.C. Sheriff’s Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Traffic stop — arrest made 10:42 p.m. Wednesday. 28100 block of Moulton Parkway. A 38-year-old salesperson was arrested after police conducted a traffic stop. The woman was later released after posting bail.

Disturbance 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Via Marini/Mikro. Kids were reportedly throwing water balloons at passing vehicles.

Shots heard 8:43 p.m. Wednesday. Alicia Parkway/Pacific Island Drive. Two gunshots were heard to the south corner of the witness’ apartment complex. A female was then heard screaming, following by laughter and dogs barking.

Brandishing a weapon 11:07 p.m. Wednesday. Diana Drive/Street of the Golden Lantern in Dana Point. A man told police that another man pulled out a gun while at a Halloween party.

Traffic stop — arrest made 5:24 p.m. Tuesday. Crown Valley Parkway/Cabot Road. A 46-year-old law student was jailed on $65,000 bail after police made a traffic stop.

Traffic accident with unknown injuries 7:28 a.m. Tuesday. Niguel Road/Camino Del Avion. Three vehicles were involved in a collision where airbags were deployed.

Traffic stop — arrest made 7:48 p.m. Tuesday. Pacific Coast Highway/Street of the Golden Lantern in Dana Point. A 38-year-old landscaper was jailed after police made a traffic stop. The man was being detained on the charges of drug possession and identity fraud.

Burglary in progress 5:59 a.m. Tuesday. 34100 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point. A caller told authorities that she saw a man climbing into the window of the Marina Hotel.

Traffic stop — arrest made 11:19 p.m. Monday. Bear Brand Road/Costa Brava. A 30-year-old businessman was arrested after authorities made a traffic stop. The man was later released after posting bail.

Keep the peace — arrest made 3:57 p.m. Monday. 0 block of Ridgerock. Police arrested a 23-year-old salesman, who was later released from custody.
