Suspicious Man Dressed As 'Spider-Man' Spotted at Foodmart

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Oct. 23-24 in Laguna Niguel.

A caller reported a man sporting a colorful Spider-Man costume appearing nervous near the Mobil On the Run foodmart in the Marketplace at Laguna Niguel. The masked superhero was also observed near the store in Ocean Ranch. The incident occurred on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 2:39 p.m. at the 27300 block of Alicia Parkway.

Wednesday, Oct. 24:

Suspicious Circumstances 10:14 p.m. Alicia Parkway/Avila Road. A man reported he smelled a strong odor near and was unsure whether it was a gas leak or someone smoking an illegal substance.

Vandalism In Progress 9:41 a.m. 34800 block of Doheny Plaza. A man reported his neighbor was cutting down plants, and cut his brother’s hand when he tried to stop him. The man was allegedly mentally unstable. The O.C. Fire Authority was enroute. (Dana Point)

Tuesday, Oct. 23:

Disturbance 11:13 p.m. 24500 block of El Alicanta. A woman reported she felt her shuttle driver overcharged her, so she refused to pay. He then refused to give her her luggage and allegedly grabbed her arm.

Citizen Assist 4:15 p.m. 26100 block of Victoria Blvd. A caller reported some juveniles were throwing dog feces and cigarettes onto the preschool Treasure Isle Children’s center at night. (Dana Point)
