A Laguna Niguel bank was one of two Orange County banks held up today by a skateboard-riding bandit.
Authorities suspect the robberies were the work of one man, who entered the banks in Yorba Linda and Laguna Niguel with a skateboard and presented the tellers at each bank with a note demanding cash.
An Opus bank branch at 17672 Yorba Linda Blvd. was robbed about 10:35 a.m. and a U.S. Bank branch at 27120 Alicia Parkway was held up just after noon, said Orange County sheriff's Lt. John MacPherson.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the robberies. Authorities described the robber as a man in his 20s.
