Retrial to Start for 'Hockey Mom' Accused of Molesting 13-Year-old Boy
Jury selection begins for the retrial of Kathia Maria Davis, 45, on charges that she molested a 13-year-old player. Last year, she was convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old.
Jury selection is slated to begin Wednesday in the retrial of Kathia Maria Davis, the 45-year-old Laguna Niguel hockey mom facing four charges of lewd acts on a child under 14.
Last year, she was convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old. Both boys met Davis because they were part of her young male relative's hockey team.
The jury that convicted Davis of unlawful intercourse last year couldn't agree on a verdict for the lewd acts charges or two accompanying misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
