Resident Finds Strange Goop on House

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Jan. 28–29.

A caller reported that someone put a sticky substance on the side of his home and left bread in his yard. The incident occurred at 2:34 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29 in the 24900 block of Villarente Street.

Tuesday, Jan. 29:

Assist Outside Agency 9:22 p.m. 27400 block of Alicia Parkway. A caller reported that there was a fire in the Walmart warehouse. By the time the Orange County Fire Authority arrived, the fire had already been put out, but there was lots of smoke.

Citizen Assist 3:56 p.m. 24900 block of Villarente Street. A caller was concerned that his neighbor told deputies it was he who left goop on his neighbor’s residence. It was becoming an ongoing problem.

Monday, Jan. 28:

Assist Outside Agency 11:08 p.m. 29400 block of Clipper Way. A caller reported that a subject dropped a Christmas tree off in the middle of the street and set it on fire. He put the gasoline can in the back of his late model sedan, possibly black or white, and took off towards Alicia Parkway. The Orange County Fire Authority put out the fire.

Suspicious Person 12:27 a.m. street of the Amber Lantern/Pacific Coast Highway. A caller reported that he heard a male screaming, “Help me!” coming from several buildings behind the Circle K. (Dana Point)
