A man was reportedely standing in front of the Ralphs on the cross streets of Pacific Coast Highway and Del Prado, yelling at customers to “give me back my power.” He appeared to be in need of an involuntary psychiatric hold. The man was 5’8, in his 40s, with blonde hair, wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants. He was last seen headed southbound toward Copper Lantern. The incident occurred on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 18:
Burglary In Progress 4:16 p.m. 0 block of Doheny. A woman reported that she believed her son (16 or 18 years old) broke into her locked closet to steal medication. The boy is known to have weapons, knives and swords in his room, so an additional deputy was required.
Brandishing A Weapon 11:47 p.m. Domingo Avenue/Doheny Park Road. A caller reported a man chased her with a small aluminum baseball bat. He was 25 years old, with a buzz cut and wearing square glasses. (Dana Point)
Monday, Sept. 17:
Patrol Check 6:16 p.m. Valle Vista Drive/Chamonix. A caller reported four boys were skateboarding down a dangerous hill with no safety equipment. The caller was concerned because a man was killed on a skateboard a week previously.
Suspicious Person 6:41 p.m. Camino Capistrano/Pacific Coast Highway. A caller reported that a man was burning what appeared to be unauthorized wood at the firepit, at Capistrano beach. (Dana Point)
