Possible Drug Deal Gone Wrong in Starbucks Parking Lot

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Jan. 10–11 in Dana Point and Laguna Niguel.

A caller reported a woman in a black Volkswagen Jetta was harassed by two males, and then drove off. The caller overheard the men discussing a “drug deal gone bad,” and he believed one of the subjects had a gun, though nothing was seen. The incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 2:38 a.m. in the Starbucks parking lot at the cross streets of Golden Lantern and Marina Hills.

Friday, Jan. 11:

Investigate Person Down 1:16 p.m. Pacific Coast Highway/Selva Road. A caller reported a subject was lying face down in the grass area on the west side of PCH. The subject was wearing all dark black clothing and tennis shoes. (Dana Point)

Disturbance-Mechanical 11:10 a.m. 33800 block of Alcazar Drive. A caller reported subjects were building a cage in their driveway and using a torch. He was concerned about sparks. (Dana Point)

Thursday, Jan. 10:

Patrol Check 5:32 p.m. Pas Lomita/Pas de la Escuela. A caller reported subjects were in their backyard with an illegal bonfire. The caller stated the bonfire had been going on for three days.

Disturbance 2:31 a.m. 100 block of Seaspray North. A caller reported a male and female were in a verbal argument. It sounded like the male was forcing the female into a vehicle.
