Police Calls: Snail Pellets Allegedly Poison Dog

Recent police calls from Laguna Niguel and Dana Point.

Here's a rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department August
30-31. Incidents reported from Dana Point are noted as such. Other
incidents were reported in Laguna Niguel.

Friday

  • Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 5:40 p.m. Nueva Vista/Crown Valley Parkway. A caller reported that a man was walking with a child, and he appeared to be holding a knife.
  • Citizen Assist. 10:48 p.m. 30900 block of Calle Moraga. A caller reported that he returned from a business trip that lasted two days, and stated the locks to his residence had been change and his belongings were missing.

Saturday

  • Disturbance. 3:43 p.m. 30900 block of Club House Drive. A caller reported that he was being harassed by a woman who believed she was "better than everyone" because she had her three dogs off their leashes in the complex. She stated they were trained and certified to be off their leashes. The caller's partner was in the process of talking to her. She also hit the caller's arm. The two parties eventually worked it out.
  • Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 5:50 p.m. Heather Ridge Road/Pacific Park Drive. A caller reported that a 60-year-old man was standing on the corner with a sign, begging for money. He was with a 13-year-old girl who was dressed like a boy. He was certain it was a girl and not a pretty boy.
  • Citizen Assist. 9:53 p.m. 29300 block of Elba Road. A caller reported that his neighbor threw snail pellets into his yard and they poisoned his dog.
