Police Calls: 10-Year-Old Threatens Mom with Knife

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department September 23-24. Incidents reported from Dana Point are noted as such. Other incidents were reported in Laguna Niguel.

Monday

  • Around 7:30 p.m. on Flamingo Court, a mother said her 10-year-old daughter claimed she was going to hurt her with a knife. The mother locked herself in a room with her other daughter for safety. When deputies arrived, the girl no longer had the weapon.
  • A crossing guard was transported to Mission Hospital after passing out at 29300 Via Acaso Drive around 2:30 p.m.
  • Three drunk men admitted to taking a golf cart around 2:10 p.m. at the Laguna Gardens apartment complex. 

Tuesday

  • A woman was screaming and pounding on the door of a garage that she was trapped inside around 10:45 p.m. at the 31500 block of East Nine Drive. Deputies were called to pry it open, but she got out on her own.
