Police Blotter: Caller Suspects Neighbor Died In His Apartment

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department June 27-28. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel unless otherwise noted.

Thursday, June 27:
Keep the Peace. 10:04 a.m. 28200 block of Via Alfonse. A caller reported that he was trying to move out and his girlfriend was making a scene.

Disturbance-Family Dispute. 10:24 a.m. 23600 block of Cambridge Circle. A caller reported that her 22-year-old brother attacked him and his mother’s boyfriend, and threatened to pull a knife on the mother’s boyfriend.

Welfare Check. 11:57 a.m. 28100 block of Newport Way. A caller reported that his neighbor was last checked on 6/19 and hadn’t been seen since. No trash had been put out and a foul smell was coming through the AC unit. The caller suspected the subject died.

Shots Heard-No Suspect Information. 9:09 p.m. 28600 block of La Saragosa. A caller reported he heard what sounded like a shot followed by a dog howl.

Friday, June 28:
Disturbance. 7:47 a.m. Stonehill Drive/Del Obispo Street. A caller reported that juveniles were throwing rocks and harassing him on the San Juan walking path. (Dana Point)

Assist Outside Agency. 8:04 a.m. Unknown block of Camberley. A caller reported secondhand information from his caregiver, who was out walking his dog. He stated that the caller’s wife either fell or was not breathing. The Orange County Fire Authority was enroute.

Disturbance. 5:03 p.m. Alicia Parkway/Aliso Creek Road. A caller reported that a boy was skating dangerously close to moving vehicles and trying to hit and kick them. He may have been on drugs.

Disturbance. 5:04 p.m. 25500 block of Mainsail Way. A caller reported secondhand information that kids were jumping off an awning into the pool. (Dana Point)
