Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Metrolink Train in Dana Point

The Dana Point Times is reporting a man, 54, stepped out in front of the tracks shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Dana Point Times is reporting around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to reports of a man pedestrian being struck and killed by a train in Dana Point.

The reports says: "According to Lt. Joe Balicki of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, eye witnesses saw the victim, a 54-year-old man, deliberately step in front of the oncoming train at the section of track on the 34600 block of Coast Highway near Doheny Park Road."

The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
