Orange County Police Women Play Football for Dorner Victim

On Saturday, Orange County police women will play flag football to raise money for Officer Andrew Tachias, a Riverside deputy nearly killed last year during Christopher Dorner's murderous rampage.

  • Where: Eddie West Field, 602 N. Flower Street, Santa Ana
  • When: First game starts at noon, second game starts at 1:30 p.m.
Tachias was sitting inside a patrol car with his training officer, Michael Crain Feb. 7. Dorner pulled up alongside them, shot Tachias eight times and killed Crain.

The teams raising money are the Orange County Sheriff All Stars, the Santa Ana Police Hogs, the Riverside Police Pistols and the Orange County Probation Grid Iron Girls.
