Man Found Slumped Over Steering Wheel

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Oct. 8–10.

Authorities arrested a 23-year-old man after receiving a report about a person slumped over his steering wheel while parked in the bike lane with the hazards on. The man was later cited and released. The incident took place on Tues., Oct. 11, at 5:15 a.m. on Aliso Creek Road/Alicia Parkway.

Battery 6:24 p.m. Tuesday. 27900 block of Via Del Agua. A caller reported a battery to police off the cross streets of Via Azul and Via Veracruz.

Brandishing a weapon — arrest made 6:08 p.m. Tuesday. 27400 block of La Paz Road. Authorities jailed a 20-year-old salesman. The man was accused of carrying and exposing a weapon in public.

Burglary report 1:28 p.m. Tuesday. 28700 block of Via Pasatiempo. A caller told police that after finding her garage door open, a burglar had taken property from her home.

Traffic stop — arrest made 9:35 p.m. Monday. 28000 block of Moulton Parkway. After making a traffic stop, police arrested a 34-year-old woman. The woman was later released from custody on her own recognizance.

Assist outside agency 8:33 p.m. Monday. Aliso Creek Road/La Paz Road. A man called for help after he hit a main gas line while digging for a sewer line.

Suspicious person 7:21 p.m. Monday. 30100 block of Crown Valley Parkway. A woman was reportedly sitting in her vehicle, screaming and punching air.

Investigate person down 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Street of the Golden Lantern/Marina Hills Drive. Police received a report of a person down on the ground. A witness thought the person might be a male transient.

Unknown trouble — arrest made 12:25 a.m. Sunday. 31600 block of Nine Drive. After investigating a report of unknown trouble, police arrested a 20-year-old man. He was later cited and released.

Disturbance — arrest made 11:51 p.m. Saturday. Greenfield Drive/Crown Valley Parkway. After police investigated a reported disturbance, they arrested a 34-year-old man, who was later cited and released.

Assist outside agency 6:53 p.m. Saturday. 27600 block of La Paz Road. Orange County Fire Authority was called to help a woman who had a low pulse and was turning blue.

Assist outside agency 5:37 p.m. Saturday. 24000 block of Goldeneye Drive. A special needs child was choking on something lodged in their throat.

Disturbance 1:23 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Saturday. 25000 block of Sanoria Street. A woman called police to report that her son was out of control. She reported that he was in the home, naked, and saying he wanted to commit suicide and should be shot. The violent individual was also reportedly punching walls and yelling. Later the same day, the woman called police again to report that her son was still violent and trying to break down the door.
