Man Allegedly Heists Cash from Swirlz Yogurt

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Nov.14-15 in Laguna Niguel.

A caller reported a 20-year-old man, of thin build and wearing a black shirt and khaki pants, allegedly threw a red backpack on the counter at Swirlz Yogurt, and pointed to the register. He left on foot with less than $100 and was last seen running toward Hidden Hills Apartments. The incident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8:35 p.m. at the 30300 block of the Street of the Golden Lantern.

Thursday, Nov.15:

Citizen Assist 9:40 p.m. 24300 block of Toponas Court. A woman wished to speak to a deputy regarding her alarm going off. She believed someone tried to break into her residence through her kitchen window, because her cat threw up there and she claimed he only does that when he is scared.

Disturbance 6:08 p.m. 27400 block of Alicia Parkway. A caller said a woman between 35-40 years old, was allegedly hitting a 6-year-old boy in the children’s section at Walmart. She had another child in her possession, and it appeared both were hers, as they later followed her out of the store.

Wednesday, Nov. 14:

Citizen Assist 11:05 a.m. 34500 block of Calle Naranja. A woman reported someone allegedly threw an egg at her residence and she believed she knew who did it. It was unknown what type of egg was thrown. (Dana Point)

Suspicious Person 10:44 p.m. 33800 block of Diana Drive. A man reported he detained a 5' 2 " man in the laundry room, who he claimed didn’t live in the area. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes. (Dana Point)
