Man Spotted In Sunset Park With Plastic Bag Over Hand

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Dec. 31–Jan. 1.

A caller reported a 30-year-old male was walking around Sunset Park with a white, plastic bag over his hand. He was slender and wearing a black hoodie. The incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 1 at 10:05 a.m. in Dana Point.

Tuesday, Jan. 1:

Assault 12:54 p.m. 25400 block of Rapid Falls Road. A caller reported his friend was hit in the face and bleeding at the mouth. He was unresponsive but breathing. The man who hit him was arrested and released on bond.

Keep the Peace 2:59 a.m. Niguel Road/Stonehill Drive. A caller reported a valet was rude to her and shoved her husband.

Monday, Dec. 31:

Welfare Check 5:09 p.m. 23800 block of Willows Drive. A caller reported an elderly woman left a voicemail on his phone stating she couldn’t make it to the shower and was in bad shape. He didn’t know her. The call was made in error.

Disturbance 2:10 p.m. 34200 block of Doheny Park Road. A man was in front of Vavoline Instant Oil Change throwing gang signs and trying to start an argument with the store manager. He was shirtless and had tattoos. (Dana Point)
