Italian Mobster Allegedly Uses Caller’s Address in Bank Fraud

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Jan. 30–31.

A caller reported that an Italian mobster allegedly used his address in a bank fraud scheme at Wells Fargo. The incident occurred at 6:29 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 31 in the 28700 block of Placida Avenue.

Thursday, Jan. 31:

Welfare Check 12:31 a.m. 30000 block of Golden Lantern. A caller heard a small child crying for the past hour at the Laguna Serrano Apartments.

Wednesday, Jan. 30:

Disturbance 1:53 p.m. 25300 block of Dana Point Harbor Drive. A caller reported that a female was crying on the top floor of the balcony saying someone hit her. (Dana Point)

Disturbance 6:57 a.m. 27000 block of Jean Terrace. A caller reported that his roommate was bipolar and was making noises all night and swearing. The roommate was smoking marijuana the night before. The subject was more than 6 feet tall, muscular, and wearing a black shirt. He left on foot across Aliso Niguel on foot. (Dana Point)

Citizen Assist 9:40 p.m. 33700 block of Mariana Drive. A caller reported that he had a video of a subject riding a quad without a helmet and dragging his dog along on a leash. He stated he knew where the subject lived and wanted deputies to do something about it. (Dana Point)
