Cyclist Collides with Car on PCH, Killing Him

The coupe overturned, injuring the two occupants, officials said.

Two people were hospitalized today with serious injuries they suffered when the vehicle they were in collided with a bicycle on Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point, killing the cyclist, authorities said.

The cyclist, a male whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene after he was struck by the coupe on Pacific Coast Highway near Green Lantern Road around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, said Orange County sheriff's Lt. Steve Gil.

He said the car overturned, but its occupants were expected to survive their injuries.
