Customer Tries to Beat Up Local Employee

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department from Jan. 23–Jan. 25.

Police received a call for help after a local employee said a customer tried to beat him up. The incident took place on Tues., Jan. 24, at 12:52 p.m. on the 24000 block of Catamara Way.

Here are more items from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department blotter. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel, unless otherwise noted. The following arrest information was supplied by the O.C. Sheriff’s Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan, 25:

Disturbance 7:24 p.m. Rancho Niguel Road/Greenfield Drive. A man was reportedly approaching vehicles in a local parking lot, asking for money, and then banging on windows when denied.

Illegal Peddling 6:55 p.m. 30500 block of Puerto Vallarta Drive. A man was going door to door selling meat.

Burglary report 5:52 p.m. 0 block of Precipice. A burglar struck off of Silent Knolls and Sweet Meadow Lane.

Traffic accident/unknown injuries 4:27 p.m. 27900 block of Cabot Road. A vehicle struck a pole off of Crown Valley Parkway.

Prowler 6:03 a.m. 0 block of Dion. Police were called for help when someone found an unknown man sitting in the backyard. The individual was later detained by police for questioning.

Tuesday, Jan. 24:

Disturbance 9:15 p.m. 28100 block of Moulton Parkway. The parents of a 9-year-old boy called police for help after they boy began breaking things inside the residence. The parents said their son was out of control.

Suspicious person 8:25 p.m. 25900 block of Domingo Avenue in Dana Point. A man leaving a church was accosted by a woman throwing rocks at his vehicle. The woman was reportedly in her 20’s and wore spandex pants and a tank top.

Burglary reports 7:07 p.m. and 6:42 p.m. 28100 block of Sorrento and 0 block of Charmony. In two separate incidents, police received burglary reports from the cross streets of Montemar and Villamira and Mandalay and Westcliff.

Monday, Jan. 23:

Missing adult 3:38 p.m. 34500 block of Calle Cambio in Dana Point. A landlord reported a tenant missing to police. The tenant had been unreachable for three days, was not answering the phone, and missed an appointment.

Traffic accident/unknown injuries 10:33 a.m. La Paz Road/Avila Road. Three vehicles collided. One vehicle ended up in the bushes. Orange County Fire Authority was called to the scene.
