Crime: Man Swings Sword Like A Jedi Master

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department August 8. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel unless otherwise noted.

Thursday, August 8:
Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 2:45 p.m. 34500 block of the street of the Golden Lantern. A caller reported that a transient was lying on the ground sleeping. He was elderly and wearing a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans. (Dana Point)

Illegal Peddling. 5:59 p.m. 26400 block of Via California. A caller reported that a man was sitting down on a wall asking passersby for money. He had a white goatee and was wearing a black sweater and shorts. (Dana Point)

Disturbance. 6:57 p.m. 100 block of Chandon. A caller reported that teens were talking about drugs and breaking glass on the greenbelt behind the location.

Disturbance. 8:45 p.m. 24900 block of Hidden Hills Road. A caller reported that someone’s television was on loud in the Wind Ridge apartment complex. It turned out a movie was being shown in the community area.

Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 8:47 p.m. White Otter/Little Fawn Lanes. A caller reported that a man was swinging a long sword like a Jedi Master at Niguel Woods Community Park. He was 30 years old, had long, brown hair and was wearing a gray tee shirt and jeans.
