Crime: Man Flipping Off Cars; Report of a Missing Turtle

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff’s Department August 9. All incidents were reported within Laguna Niguel unless otherwise noted.

Friday, August 9:
Traffic Hazard. 8:32 a.m. 28000 block of Moulton Parkway. A caller reported that a manhole cover was open in the northbound lanes of Moulton Parkway.

Assist Outside Agency. 12:24 p.m. Unknown block of Terraza Del Mar. A caller reported that a two-and-a-half year old was in the pool with an adult when he became limp and unresponsive. The mother ran home to the reported location. It was unknown if the child was breathing. (Dana Point)

Grand Theft Report. 2:36 p.m. Unknown block of Guadalmina Drive. A caller reported that someone stole an exotic turtle. (Dana Point)

Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 7:34 p.m. 33900 block of the Street of the Golden Lantern. A caller reported that a shirtless man wearing light-colored shorts was walking up and down Golden Lantern yelling at cars and flipping them off. The caller thought he might have been homeless. (Dana Point)

Suspicious Person/Circumstances. 9:27 p.m. 29500 block of Via Alto Cerro. A caller reported secondhand information from his mother-in-law. He stated two men were in the residence with flashlights, and the owners were not home. The men were dropped off in a vehicle that left.
