Boyfriend Allegedly Tries to Strangle Girlfriend

A rundown of calls that came into the O.C. Sheriff's Department on March 1.

On Friday, March 1, a caller reported that her boyfriend tried to strangle her the night before. The incident occurred at 3:07 p.m. in the 32700 block of Pointe Stirling in Dana Point.

Disturbance-Family Dispute 8:12 p.m. 30200 block of Pacific Island Drive. A caller reported that she was in a verbal argument with her husband and he threw his keys at her.

Disturbance 8:19 a.m. 30300 block of Via Corona. A caller reported that her father hit her 14-year-old brother with a cable. The subject was in his 40s, of medium build and wearing black sweatpants. (Dana Point)

Disturbance 2:29 a.m. 0 block of Bridgeport Street. A male subject was going through the trashcans at  the Seabrook Apartments. He was wearing a dark jacket and Angels baseball cap with a red bill. (Dana Point)

Citizen Assist 6:52 p.m. 34100 block of Pacific Coast Highway. A caller reported that she took her dog to the groomers, and when she went back to pick them up, the establishment was closed and she demanded that a deputy help her find out where her dogs were, as there were no kennels inside to keep animals overnight. The caller eventually called back and stated that she had located her dogs. (Dana Point)
