and more than 1,500 customers were without power on Wednesday, according to Southern California Edison officials.
The lights went off so to speak at 4:30 a.m., Darryl Ryan, a spokesperson for So Cal Edison told Patch on Thursday afternoon.
"It was an underground equipment failure issue that has since been repaired," he said. "There were 1,590 customers affected by the outage, some had their power go back on about two hours later, others by 4:27 p.m Wednesday."
Those impacted included those near the 73 toll road to the north, Avila Road to the south, Aliso Creek to the west and Heather Ridge Road to the east.
Walmart confirmed its power was out in the afternoon for at least four hours.
