Bicyclist Injured Crossing Pacific Coast Highway

The 41-year-old woman was transported to Mission Hospital with moderate injuries, broken bones and lacerations.

A bicyclist was hit by a van on the Pacific Coast Highway in San Clemente on Thursday and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The bicyclist was traveling southbound in the bike lane, approaching Camino Capistrano, and for unknown reasons, she made a left turn across lanes of traffic in front of a Ford E-250 Econoline van that collided with her, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department Lt. Jeff Hallock.

The bicyclist, a 41-year-old woman, was transported to Mission Hospital with moderate injuries, broken bones and lacerations.
