A three-car collision at Pacific Coast Highway and Del Obispo Street in Dana Point blocked traffic Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

The accident occurred around 1:25 pm. when a silver GMC truck used to pick up trash containers was allegedly stolen by a man who fled south on Del Avion toward PCH, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino.

"He was driving down the wrong side of the road for about two miles," Amormino said.

In Dana Point, the suspect collided with a car and a carpet cleaning van.

All three drivers were taken to an area hospital. The driver of the passenger car suffered major trauma, while the two others had minor injuries, Amormino said.

A SigAlert was in effect for about an hour.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
