Hitting Your Hand with a Hammer

As a child whenever I did something that was really dumb and then repeated it, my mom would remind me of the old man who used to hit his hand with a hammer.

When asked why he did it he said:"Because it feels so good when I stop!"

Well Californians, when are you going to stop hitting yourself with a hammer? You have let our government play us like absolute dummies and we are about to let them do it again. Ouch! does your hand hurt yet?

Proposition 30 gives you a chance to hit yourself with a sales tax increase. You know darn well that it will not go toward education but we let the politicians look us straight in the face and lie to us.

You know they are lying and I know they are but how many of you will hit your hand with the hammer and vote in favor Prop 30? I bet you want the speed train, too.

We have more than 700 inmates on Death Row costing us millions each year. These scum of the world die of old age before justice is done. Why? Because our government has built so many ridiculous steps between sentencing and execution that 30 years from now, the killers are still alive.

We're asked to repeal the death penalty rather then get the process streamlined so that two things happen: 1. The innocent are spared and 2, the guilty pay for their crime.

Much of what happens to you and this once fine state are because our elected officials are scared bleepless to go against the unions. The unions take money from their members and use it to lobby and advertise for programs that support the unions. We can stop that with a yes on Prop 34.

If you watch the bogus ads by the unions you are led to believe the this prop has nothing to do with stopping the taking of money without asking by the unions. Hit yourself again if you like the power unions have over your life. Not me. My hand is sore enough.

Hey, and don't forget now you are asked to rewrite the three strike laws to be more lenient on the person who make the mistake of committing their third crime and not making it a serious one.

That's right we should say the the person who has two felonies and then commits another crime: "Hey as long as you didn't really hurt someone, we'll go easy on you."

Are we all nuts or do we just like hitting ourselves more and more, and more?Come on California: Wake up and quit hitting yourself with a hammer. You'll feel much better when you do.
