Did You Read the Obituaries Section Today?

"The Obituary" has been written for our state and country.

Usually, I make a point of reading the newspaper each morning. I always reach for the sports section first to see how my favorite teams are doing and what's new in sports in general.

Today, I reached but somehow my hand found the "obituaries" section. I was amazed to find the obituaries covered many pages. It was the obituary of our state and federal government as I once knew it to be. There is no longer a slippery slope to be concerned about. We are a full downward plunge to the end of the line as most superpowers have experienced.

People voted in this state to increase their own taxes. Unemployment rests at 10+. Underemployment runs rampant and 50 percent of college grads can't find a job in their field if one at all. Yet, Jerry Brown convinced people that the only way out of the hole the politicians had dug was to give them more money, money they don't have. Do people realize they have raised the sales tax on everyone, not just the super wealthy.

You and I will pay more and get less. You get less than 1 percent on passbook savings yet voted to increase your bill by 3 percent for everything you buy in the state of California.

People in this nation have decided that they no longer want to work to become a success. Why bother? The federal government under BHO will give you your TV, housing and food if you just do what they tell you to do. After all, the government can always take more from the wealthy, until the wealthy revolt and stop striving for success. Imagine business owners finally saying to the government: "You're right. We're evil and because you are right we quit. We are shutting the doors of our company and letting you, BHO and crew, take care of everything."

Do you think this is now the country our brave veterans fought and died to protect?

"The land of the free and the home of the brave" should be changed to the land of the over regulated and cared for, and the home of what's in it for me.

Look out Greece: here we come.
