UFO Spotted Hovering Over Laguna Niguel?

According to the website ufostalker.com, this is the ninth sighting since 2009. It was near Marina Hills and Golden Lantern and reported on March 3 at 7:15 p.m.

Let me start by saying that I have never been a big believer in UFOs, Bigfoot or the like.

However, at one point, I did believe in the legend of the Loch Ness Monster and, while studying abroad years ago, I went hunting for the fabled aquatic creature called Nessie in Scotland. I never found her, but the place was pretty eerie. I could see why people thought they may have seen things lurking in the lake called Loch Ness, in northwest Scotland. The lake is 23 miles (37 kilometers) long and black as coal. In the wee morning hours, the mist blankets the lake and is as thick as pea soup.

In any event, I received an email alert from UfoStalker.com that stated there was a sighting of some form of UFO on March 3 in Laguna Niguel near Marina Hills and Golden Lantern. It occured at 7:15 p.m. and was reported to the website by someone who said they witnessed the object while they were on their rooftop. The shape was described as "a fireball," its latitude 33.51612, longitude -117.687481.

Someone commented on this sighting, too, Dosborn44 writes:

While walking in Laguna Niguel about 7 p.m. on March 3, 2012, I saw three moving objects with red lights (not blinking) lined up across part of the sky. After about 30 seconds the front object changed direction and went straight up until out of sight. The remaining two objects were then joined by another and after about 30 seconds the front object went straight up until out of sight. This pattern was repeated for a total of seven objects, [the] red lighted object would fade out then another one would appear from the other side. This all lasted about 5 minutes.

Further digging into stats about on ufostalker.com revealed:

There have been eight other sightings in Laguna Niguel:

  • Feb.16, 2008
  • Sept. 17,2008
  • July 25, 2009
  • Sept. 25, 2010
  • Sept. 27, 2009
  • Nov. 26, 2010
  • May 25, 2011
  • Aug. 27, 2011

In addition, ufostalker.com reports, the number of overall sightings is up 17 percent vs. the previous month, but the number of overall sightings is down 18 percent vs. the previous year.

I'm not sure I hold much faith in the ufostalker.com website or the sightings it reports (). However, after reading how many have supposedly been seen here in Laguna Niguel, I am looking up at the sky a whole lot differently once evening rolls around.

I once saw a shooting star & was scared to death thinking it was a UFO, bc they teach us religion in life, but not other possibilities of such things. Now I did see this green light in the sky shoot a far distance then the fact that all of a sudden it changed direction and drifted away soooo fast 'that it disappeard'. And that's how it happens. Very freeky but excited about the encounter.

Last year I was on the freeway with m teen daughter and she started yelliing for me to give her my phone.I looked to my right and there was this large figure with a stream of lights on the bottom of it hovering over the 91 fwy. I only caught a few quick glances because I was driving on the freeway but my daughter saw it for several minutes. She kept snapping pictures with my camera phone but not one was captured. I never thought much of ufos before maybe they existed maybe they didn't bur my mind was changed that evening. We saw something and cannot explain what.

You appear to be saying maybe it didn't happen because somebody didn't take a picture or pull out a phone and shot a video. Not everybody carries a phone or camera, and some people just want to watch the objects. They don't care about providing pictures for people who still don't get how big the universe is.

Hey Richard A. Bent....why don't you wait until you see one yourself before offering that these are military helicopters out over the ocean. And try reading the whole story before commenting. All lot of these accounts sound nothing like helicopters!

How many times have you been driving and seen someone dancing in their car, doing something crazy on the sidewalk, or even observed something interesting in the sky and didn't pull out a camera. The bible doesn't have photo's, yet we all can agree that the places written about in the bible exist. Open your mind. It's not like it would kill you to think possibly that there is life outside of what goes on in between your two ears and in front of your eyes. Life doesn't stop because you're not looking in that direction. We are all connected, we are all one, and hate to break it to you Aliens/Angels however you call them exist. It is a mathematical impossibility that they don't exist. AND watch the skies over the next 3 months you may just see a UFO yourself. I saw one for the first time with my own two eyes after I opened my mind and I couldn't pull out the video because I was driving. Someone else captured it. I thought I was going bonkers until I found it on youtube. But if that person hadn't looked up when I had, they would have missed recording it. I still know in my heart what I saw and even if he hadn't I would still believe and share with people when the topic came up. I used to be a skeptic and not really pay attention, then one day I woke up and looked at the sky. Life's been amazing ever since.

Spring break 2006 at 7 pm, Vista, California I was in my apartment alone and looked out and saw this massive UFO the size of a small mountain with many lights. I was very young then and afraid of UFO so I went inside and didn't look outside again. It could have been a fleet of jets my friend said but it was moving very very very slowly.almost to observe the city and no one or the san Diego union tribune or north county times said anything about it. I'm the only one who saw it

My multiple UFO sightings in Long Beach/Seal Beach CA have been posted on mufon and at other UFO reporting sights since 2007. (www.UFOs-northwest.com) and one is featured on UFO Hunters (history channel) for a completely documented, 27+ minute sighting which was photographed over the Seal Beach Weapons Station in March 2009. I got appx 60 photos with a good camera shot from a tripod in my back yard. The photos were analyzed by a professional that was unaquainted with me (by the folks at the history channel) and they were found to be unaltered by any PhotoShop garbage and authenticated as "of unknown origin". Show is on YouTube and is UFO hunters first responders. Mine is the first story and is authenticated & proven real at the end. It was also discussed at the 2010 news conference on UFOs at or bothering nukes at military bases, presented by James Fox and others. UFOs-nwo.com has other photos and diagrams of sightings we've had. You can reach me on Facebook user name swat4hire. Thanks.

Debbie and Ted I found your insights to be fascinating. I'd like to share something with you. I was sitting in a computer on campus, getting an education (thanks, Ted), when suddenly the blinds started rattling and lights came beaming through the windows. Now, although the Bible does indeed not have photos, I know what a Demon is and I don't think it was a Demon. I'm convinced that it was a UFO. The lights seemed to be coming from a circular machine hovering over our campus. The lights were very similar to a strobe light, but of course a strobe light would be too simple of an explanation. It was definitely a UFO. I'm so glad there are believers like you out there.

UFOLUVERR: Sounds like you are a true believer, be sure to take our poll! And stay tuned for more UFO stories.

Mark March 15, 2012 at 04:39 PM
I'm not saying there is or isn't any UFO's or whether those that have witnessed these things. Here is an interesting take for those that are interested in what the Bible says in regards to the subject. No offense to those that aren't believers or have different belief systems, this is just a different viewpoint. Don't everyone get your shorts in a bunch! Don't watch the video if you don't want to hear it. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1308419363848334677#

There is no such thing as a UFO!! What is wrong with these people?! It's okay to have a vivid imagination but stop making things up just to get attention!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!! Grow up!!!!!

@Arianna: I think everyone is entitled to their opinions and thoughts.

I was 13 years old, visiting my sister in peat blossom when I saw my first UFO. turn saw more in Laguna Hills in 1995 when we first moved here and El Toro was open. my father in law explained it was Wednesday night flybys of new US technology. He worked for hughes aircraft so he knew. Four years go we followed one from The top of kite hilll. I was a toy. Just saying. It's probably a toy. Or,a government tip secret aircraft. They fly on Tuesday's and Wednesday's.

Tina, Laguna Niguel March 23, 2012 at 05:17 AM
Myself and two others reported hearing what we would describe as a large full bodied airplane (747 or similar) flying extemely low over our neighborhood somewhere between 10pm and 12am last night (March 21st, 2012). It is extremely unusual to hear any large jets over our house in Marina Hills and it was definitely not a helicopter of any sort or a small jet. I was watching tv and what got my attention was my dog waking up and looking up at the ceiling/ looking alert. It then occurred to me to tune into the particulars since my husband is an aeronautical engineer in order to descibe it to him in the morning and whether I should wake him up to vacate our home. The sound was constant as with an aircraft flying at high altitude and moving over our house. It was not taking off or landing...Anyone get a visual and have any other information?

Photo on my Facebook page but they too small :((((

There is a possibility that small lights turning off and on under or around the UFO might indicate that they are simply part of a larger object. Just because we haven't sighted habitable planets through our telescopes does not mean that they are not out there..alien intelligences might prefer to observe our warring species first before allowing further contact. Besides, Newtonian physics and Einsteins theories are only relevant in how we understand them to be applied....remember we are looking and practicing science in a third dimensional point of view. The human species does not have the mental or physical capacity to go to the fourth, fifth, etc dimensions....we would need to really evolve faster than we are doing now and currently overpopulation, pollution, conflicts and other eco-social factors hamper our development. If anything, aliens just might see us as a historical ”test” case ....how NOT to mis-manage one's (otherwise) resource-rich planet.

PS Debbie - My husband and I were also in the Highlands of Scotland about 12 years ago. We stayed with the MacGillivrays who owned Boleskine House on the B-road side of Loch Ness. It is a very special place....definitely no ”monster” however driving along the road close to the waterline where the grasses grow right into the Loch, we noticed something huge just under the water ”pacing” by our car as we drove. It even created a wake in the, water. It wasn't a boat as it was much too near to the Loch's edge by us, just under the waterline, and no log could float that fast in sync with the car's speed! We got out of the car and peered over the edge....after pausing for a few seconds while we stared looming for any details, the thing in the water sped ahead and literally followed the curve of the Loch ahead of us! We took a photo of the waterline but unfortunately we had no video as we were using a regular film camera. This happened around 10:30 am a couple of times during our stay there, after leaving the manor gates and heading towards the direction of Inverness (the House is in the village of Foyers). Whatever the creature is, it has tremendous speed and size. It must also be curious and perhaps it can even sense vibrations on the road leading from the area of Boleskine. Perhaps it survives in caves underneath Loch Ness. I think it is better to leave it well enough alone and just to enjoy the wild and mysterious beauty of its area.
