Pizza is one of those comfort foods that we can never seem to get enough. And why not?
Whether you like your pizza topped with fresh vegetables, hearty meats, unusual toppings like pineapple or just plain and simple with cheese, it's a food almost everyone enjoys.
Not that a real pizza lover needs a reason to grab a slice, October is considered to be National Pizza Month. Here are our favorite places to enjoy a hot slice of pizza right here in town:

Through Oct. 31, fans can create their dream pepperoni pizza via the Pure Pepperoni Design Your Dream Pizza recipe contest on the Zpizza Facebook page. Entries will be judged by Zpizza’s culinary team, among others. The winning recipe will be announced Nov. 21 and featured on menus during National Pizza Week, Jan.9-13, 2012, along with the possibility of becoming a permanent menu item.

Throughout the month of October, for every case of pepperoni purchased by Zpizza locations, $10 will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
