Grab and Go: Pumpkins, Stars, and Fall Flicks

It's almost the weekend, and that means it's time for Grab and Go Kids Planner for Laguna Niguel families.

Saturday, Sept. 22: Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The 7th annual Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Park Railroad opens Saturday with lots of fun activities for the family, including train rides, panning for gold, a pumpkin bounce house, hay rides and so much more. Admission to the pumpkin patch is free but the county of Orange does charge a gate entrance fee for each car that enters Irvine Regional Park. Saturday, Sept. 22: Halloween Fashion Show, 3 p.m. Pottery Barn Kids is hosting a  free spooktacular fashion show Saturday, featuring the year’s best costumes, decorations and accessories. Kids are welcome to come decked out in their Halloween best to participate in a costume contest, and the Halloween parade. Saturday, Sept. 22: History of Dana Point Walking Tour,  4:15-6:45 p.m. Don’t miss this opportunity to take a glimpse into Dana Point history through this exclusive and free walking tour. Saturday, Sept. 22: Fall Flicks, 7:30-9 p.m. Come out and enjoy a September evening under the stars while watching a free showing of Puss in Boots Join Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, Puss in Boots and other iconic characters as they embark on a journey to find magical beans which can lead to great wealth. Bring a blanket or low back chair and dress warm.  Pets, smoking and alcohol are prohibited in the event area.  Snacks will be available for purchase. Saturday, Sept. 22:  Astronomy Night – Star Program, 7:30-9 p.m.  Come out and participate in a free Astronomy Night program under the stars. Learn about stars and planets, and see them through a telescope. Bring a lawn chair and picnic dinner and make sure the enjoy the park before the event starts. Cost is $3 parking charge per car.
