Bobcat Befriends Photographer in Laguna Niguel

A day out and about shooting photos for Patch resulted in much more that great shots.

In the past few months there have been a number of bobcat and sightings in our neighborhood.

I'm told by  ranger Joe Noval that both are a common site. He also shared that rabbits are a bobcat's prime food supply.

On Wednesday morning when I was out and about shooting photos for Laguna Niguel Patch, a very friendly bobcat seemed to enjoy my presence. I was near Kite Hill. He was also far from afraid.

I would not suggest trying this at home, as bobcats are not pets.
