New Theatre Company opens in Dana Point

Dana Point has needed / wanted a live performance venue for a very long time.  New Vision Theatre Comapny was created in Dana Point 10 years ago, but found its first home in Oceanside - operating the 200 seat Sunshine Brooks Theatre for 5 years under a city management contract and an additional 2 years as a renting company.  New Vision, dba Vivant Theatre, is working to open a venue in Dana Point.  Until that venue is available, NVTC is utilizing the Community House, 24642 San Juan Ave for "The Butler Did It", a classic whodunit play.  The show opens June 27th with a 6:45 reception featuring appetizers from "The Point", show at 7:30.  Performances are also scheduled Friday and Saturday June 28 & 29 at 8 PM.  Actors are: Bob Faw, Gina Rosselle, Rubin Miranda, Savannah Fairchild-Lowe, Michael Vasquez and Leif Settergren.  Please support local live theatre - for reservations call 714-401-0324.  Tickets for all performances are $20.

NVTC has received much positive feedback from the community for the effort to create this type of venue.  It is important an important piece in the devlopment of Dana Point's Town Center into an entertainment destination.  There are many fine restaurants in the area, but the next step is other types of entertainment venues.  There is now a thriving Dana Point Symphony and wonderful concerts from the "Lord of the Strings" series.  NVTC wants to round out the offerings by providing live theatre, small intimate concerts, poetry / spoken word nights and opportunities for other types of entertainment.
