Learn How to Knit & Crochet- Margot Ferron

You are probably confused when you see someone making something with yarn.    Are they crocheting or knitting?  With both crafts you can make sweaters, blankets, scarves, hats and more.

On Wed., Sept 11, 2013 at 10 am at the Norman Murray Community, Center, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, 92691 you can learn the difference between knitting and crocheting.

If you've never knitted or crocheted before, watch demonstrations of both to learn the basic skills you need for projects.   Each requires the same skills- the ability to start a project and finish it, hand-eye coordination, the ability to put colors and designs together.   Patience is necessary stitch after stitch to keep working and complete the project.

We can help you learn how to choose materials for either style.  You're in the right spot!   Do you wonder what that funny symbol on the yarn label means? We can help with that, too, and more!

Meet some of the Crafty Ladies.   Crafty Ladies knit and crochet all different sizes of afghans, hats, sweaters, scarves and blankets from small to large that are donated to the Marine/Sailors Adoption Committee, Veterans through the Elks, Operation Baby Love-Assistance League and Child Abuse Prevention Center.
