19th Annual Silver City, NM Blues Festival

Memorial Day
weekend is just around the corner and that means it’s time once again for the
Southwest’s unparalleled FREE musical event, the Mimbres Region Arts Council’s
(MRAC) Silver City Blues Festival. Kicking off Friday, May 23, 2014, and
wrapping up Sunday afternoon, May 25, MRAC will bring the brightest rising Blues
stars, as well as classic and legendary performers to downtown Silver City.
Presented in Silver City's Gough Park with additional activities and events
occurring throughout Silver City, this is a true Blues Lovers Experience.  

Nine Saturday
and Sunday performances are FREE to the public and will be held at Gough
Park, located at 12th and Pope Streets. This year’s headliners include Alvin
Youngblood Hart’s Muscle Theory on Saturday night and Mingo Fishtrap capping
off Sunday’s line-up. Rounding out the Saturday line-up are Iya Khan, Blue
Monday, the Memphis P-Tails and Studebaker John and the Hawks. Sunday get ready
for Roy Book Binder, Kelley Hunt, and perennial favorite Hazel Miller with her
full band.
