Final Launch of Atlantis Space Shuttle a Success, Watch the Spacevidcast Live

Atlantis left Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 10:29 a.m. Central Time. This was the last launch of the NASA Space Shuttle program. Moving forward, NASA will look to commercial space companies to complete missions. Read more:

Watch the live feed of the last shuttle, the Atlantis, via UStream straight from Houston as NASA's 30-year shuttle program comes to an end this morning. The Atlantis Shuttle launched at 10:29 a.m. Central Time.

The shuttle is planned to go on a 12-day journey, carrying only four astronauts, and stopping at the International Space Station.
