Posh Groomer Opens, Pei Wei Progresses, and a Pizzeria Is Coming
Laguna Niguel Biz Briefs have the latest comings and goings in the area.
Summer has arrived and while many are at the beach, there are some new business comings and goings to report.

If you like your pooch pampered, head to for state-of-the-art grooming salon that opened this week in The Center at Rancho Niguel at 28241 Crown Valley Pkwy., Suite A. The 1,400-square-foot commercial suite was formerly Party Avenue. John Paul is also known as the founder of Paul Mitchell haircare products and salons. The motto of this pet salon is: "Pet care products with a salon pedigree."

It must be the month for new groomers in Laguna Niguel as the Alpha Dog Groom Shop opened at 27932 La Paz Road, Suite B recently. The 1,057-square-foot commercial suite was formerly Royal Donuts. The new owner is long time groomer Jason Lasky.

has replaced Olamendis.
Over at Plaza de la Paz, is moving along and according to those working in the trenches, the Irvine store is closing. The new eatery is moving into the former 6,500-square-foot family-owned in June 2011. It had been serving upscale meals to diners since 2008, but was gutted to make way for the two new restaurants. The other space will be the new home of the , that Patch announced earlier this month.
