Rodents Shut Down Dana Point Deli

The county health department closed a Dana Point deli for a week last month after finding evidence of rodents.

Beach Hut Deli at 2 Ritz Carlton Drive, suite 102, was closed from Nov. 19 to Nov. 26 after health inspectors found rodent droppings in the kitchen.

Droppings were found on the top and bottom shelves of the front counter fixture where food and beverages are prepared, as well as beneath the liquor storage shelves, according to a health department report.

The deli was allowed to reopen Nov. 26 following a reinspection.
