'Pig-Out' on Burger King's Summertime Bacon Sundae

The fast-food franchise has introduced a vanilla ice cream sundae topped with hot fudge sauce, caramel and yes, crumbled bacon bits. The only place in town you can get the creation is at the Dana Point location.

Burger King is banking on bacon lovers to fall in love with its new bacon adorned ice cream sundae.

Yes, you heard right and you can order it at the Burger King location in Dana Point at 2505 Golden Lantern St.

At $2.49 the limited-time only sweet treat is available as part of the fast-food franchise's new barbecue summertime menu along with barbeque burgers and sandwiches with flavors from Memphis, Texas and Carolina.

For those who like their ice cream crispy, this frozen treat is comprised of vanilla soft-serve ice cream, drizzled with a hot fudge sauce, caramel, and topped with bits of crumbled bacon.  In addition, there is a thick-cut, hardwood smoked bacon garnish in case you want to use it as a spoon to get every last drop.

For those watching their waistlines and worrying how the bikini will look, the sundae has: 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar.

The creation was introduced in Nashville earlier this year in hopes of the chain reaching a broader range of customers who prefer healthier or more eccentric options, according the company website.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
