It's All in the Numbers

The area's most recent sales compared with last year's.

Hello and welcome!  I’m Chris Jotblad, a local Realtor. I have loved Laguna Niguel since I moved here 23 years ago.  It was then—and is still—a city with awesome views, lots of open spaces and a great lake for fishing.

And even though Crown Valley Parkway is no longer a one-lane dirt road and there are no sheep grazing in the hills, it's still an ideal place to raise your kids.

With that in mind, I’d like to keep you updated on the real estate happenings in Laguna Niguel. Whether you’re in the market to buy a home, sell a home or just curious, check out the stats as I bring them to you weekly, along with other real estate information, including the Laguna Niguel real estate sales report.

To the right is the data for the period of April 6 to May 4 and for the same period in 2010.

Total sales units in each category are pretty consistent, with a slight drop in short sales.  The days on the market for short sales has been reduced. The average sold price per square foot has dropped, especially with attached homes. The sales of higher-end detached homes have improved.
