Fresh & Easy Market located at Crown Valley at Golden Lantern had a Grand opening on February 1, 2012 at 8am and a check presentation to Art & Creativity for Healing Inc., at 11am in Laguna Niguel. The Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce and The City Counsel was a no show. I was there for both events.

I would think that the citizens of Laguna Niguel would be disappointed that no one from the City attended the grand opening of the new Fresh and Easy store. It seems to show a lack of support for new businesses in the City. My family and I visited the Bravo Burger restaurant in Mission Viejo right after it opened last April. We had no idea that there was going to be a Grand Opening ceremony that morning. We walked in during the ribbon cutting ceremony in the restaurant. Not only was the Mayor there...but also members of the Chamber of Commerce and a TV camera for the local Mission Viejo channel was recording the ribbon cutting ceremony . After the ribbon cutting, the Mayor went to every table to welcome all who were in the restaurant. I thought that this was a wonderful way to show small businesses and the public how much the City of Mission Viejo supports and welcomes new businesses to the City.
