In addition to welcoming guests, the store presented a $1,000 check to Laurie Zagon, director for , a local non-profit organization as part of the opening.
Fresh & Easy prides itself on it own-brand products that "contain no added trans fats, no artificial colors or flavors and only use preservatives when absolutely necessary."
At roughly 3,000 square feet, the neighborhood store is smaller than the typical supermarket to give customers a faster, easier shopping experience.
In addition the the opening day festivities, customers were also greeted by members of the UFCW who were handing out literature.
Resident Jennifer Lund said she was, "thrilled the new market was finally opening," as she had been waiting months to walk its aisles.
