with a location in Ocean Ranch, on the Laguna Niguel side, is celebrating the holidays with the return of Firecracker Chicken Breast. The 240-calorie dish combines marinated all-white meat chicken breast, sweet yellow and red bell peppers and crisp onions, wok tossed with whole and crushed chili peppers in a signature black bean sauce.

Chick-fil-A No. 1

Speaking of chicken, did you hear Chick-fil-A tops the list of favorite chicken chains, according to a national study from Market Force, Despite controversy earlier this summer, guests across the country like the chain's food.

Chick-fil-A was voted America’s No. 1 chicken chain in a restaurant industry survey of more than 7,600 consumers. Others included Raising Cane’s and Boston Market, coming in second and third, followed by Zaxby’s, Popeyes, KFC, Wingstop and Church’s Chicken.

The study, conducted in August, focused on chicken chains consumers like most. Market Force first calculated the favorites based on the total number of votes, and then factored in the number of locations for each chain. Of the 12 major national and region chicken chains studied, KFC had the most total votes, which can be credited to the fact that it’s one of the nation’s largest restaurant franchises, the study said.

Chick-fil-A was a fave in all regions except the South, where the prefer Raising Cane’s. Boston Market also had a top-three ranking in every region. Popeyes was third in the Northeast and fourth in the West. El Pollo Loco, which is headquartered in Orange County also made the grade in the West.

I hit enter in the comment and it posted - I wasn't done! Why would it post if you don't clickRead More "post comment"?! I read one story and the scrunched up left placement gave me a headache. The ad column on the right is way too big - too wide. If they made that smaller, swapped the "board" column and the news (so the news was in the middle), I think it would be easier to read.

With the ad block on the right and the boards info in the middle, it feels like the news part isRead More scrunched too far to the left.
