Business & Tech

Closed, Closed and Closing

This is the latest in Laguna Niguel business activities, including a shuttered coffeehouse, long gone yogurt shop, and a sushi restaurant about to exit.

A Starbucks location closes, as does a yogurt shop, and a long time sushi restaurant is relocating in this week's L.N. Biz Briefs.

Closed Up

The Starbucks location next to Vons at Crown Valley and Alicia Parkway is history. Now shuttered along with a sign screaming "for lease," the coffehouse closed its doors on Nov. 25. Why? There's a location inside the Vons, and just up the street at Pacific Island and Alicia, a newly revamped Starbucks offers all kinds of bells and whistles.

No More Swirlz

The Swirlz Frozen Yogurt at 30301 Golden Lantern has also closed its doors. The business opened in 2010 in the former TCBY yogurt location, but apparently, Swirlz couldn't make it either. A sign on the door states it closed on Nov. 16.

So Long Sushi

Long-time tenant, next door to Whole Foods Market at La Paz and Alicia Parkway, is leaving on Dec. 24 according to a sign taped to its front door. The owners report they have not decided where they are relocating.
